30 Days of Photographs II - Mirror

Mirror


My creative endeavors have been mostly shut down post-fire, yet I hope that I will soon be getting back to my workspace and my stained glass. This shot is taken through a kaleidoscope that I made of stained glass a few years ago. When I saw the theme of mirror, I knew what type of mirror I was going to photograph, I just wasn't sure of the probable success of shooting through the scope. I like the resullt as the image produced is supposed to look orb-like.

    The little faint streaks emanating make it almost perfect. Perfect would have been massively bigger. I'd like to live inside that kaleidoscope.

      Perfect would be good...I love kaleidoscopes which is why I enjoy making them. Maybe I can make a life-size one someday!!

      I hadn't even thought about a disco ball when I looked at it. A disco ball would have been a great mirror shot!

    That is TOTALLY awesome, especially in the enlarged view. I love it, and it's impressive that you're able to make things with mirrors and bits of glass in them.
