Her Royal Cuteness and I just happened upon a policeman blocking this road at the last turn-off before whatever disaster lay ahead. Instead of making a U-turn in the middle of the road, I turned right knowing that I could take another right and quickly exit the neighborhood and back-track to another route home.
As I start to turn again, HRC shouts "No go the other way and we can get out of here. My bus used to go this way."
So, left I turn. And then right. And then turn completely around in a cul-de-sac. And then a few more lefts until I finally see the last turn that will get me back out of the neighborhood.
Later as we are driving, I remark that she had me turn the wrong direction when I knew how to get home.
She replied, "then it is your fault for listening to me."

I've got posts that are scheduled for the last two days, but I will not be with computer access for most of that time. So, I'll catch up later and I must say that this challenge has been fun, and I've enjoyed reading all of your posts - both old blog buddies and new!

This 30 Days of Writing Challenge is brought to you courtesy of Nicky and Mike. They managed to convince a bunch of us to play along. If you want to read more cheesy posts, check out the ramblings of the crazy gang listed on the Linky thing at the latest post at We Work for Cheese.
ha ha! That's exactly what I'd say :)
ReplyDeleteBless her heart! It is your fault of course!
ReplyDeleteShe's quick, she is!
ReplyDeleteShe should consider a career in politics.
ReplyDeleteI guess she had you there! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeen there....done that.... :)
ReplyDeleteHow old is HRC? I'm thinking we should discuss an arranged marriage 'cause I got a HRS (His Royal Sassiness) and I'm thinking they'd be perfect for each other!
ReplyDeleteAs long as you learned your lesson.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was that quick with a good comeback! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! That is some funny stuff. And, she makes a good point! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of years and years ago when we went to a nearby small city. We were in high school and we were going to watch WWF wrestling because the foreign exchange student that year wanted to see Hulk Hogan. We got lost coming home because we listened to him of all people. Crazy.
