30 Days of Photographs III - Kafkaesque
You may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
You may find yourself in another part of the world
You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
You may find yourself in a beautiful house with a beautiful wife
You may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?
Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground
Into the blue again after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime, water flowing underground
- Talking Heads, "Once in a Lifetime"

That is such a perfect song for this one. The clowns scares the living crap out of me.
ReplyDeleteI thought of that song first - that or J. Giles Band "No anchovies please."
DeleteLOL You know what would be surreal? A world without Ronald McDonald. My friend spent the week in Rome and their kids had to eat at McD's.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a surreal world!
DeleteGreat song! Eating at McDonald's? Crapkaesque.
ReplyDeleteYes! But staying with Ronald was otherworldly.
DeleteThis clown lives with you - I'd never get a wink of sleep in your house!
ReplyDeleteNo. He lives at the Ronald McDonald House I stayed in. Luckily they locked the office that he was in at night or I may have been worried about him!
DeleteI would imagine Ronald McDonald is one of the most famous clowns around; I do have to admit I do like their fries at times.
ReplyDeletegood picture!
enjoy your weekend
betty
I grew up eating their fries! Still think he is creepy.
DeleteTheir fires are amazing. So good, and so bad all at the same time.
DeleteI meant fries, of course. I need to drink less on Saturdays.
DeleteWhere is Ronald's right hand?
ReplyDeleteOn Kafka's knee.
DeleteCan you imagine how angst ridden Ronald must be? Day after day of having to smile at people while dispensing fat-laden happy meals? I would have done myself in long ago.
ReplyDeleteEerily enough, he is so thin that I doubt he eats his own food!
DeleteRonald McDonald s creepy as hell! And the Talking Heads song is TOTALLY perfect for the theme today!
ReplyDeleteHe was creepy and I knew that I had to take this picture when I saw him there. It was a very Kafkaesque experience.
Deletewhew, i'm glad ronald doesn't live with you. i would go kafkaesque on him
ReplyDeleteYes, but with our eclectic taste the sad thing is that he would fit right in.
DeleteI don't like clowns, always thought them creepy. Even plastic ones hawking cheap toys and fatty foods to children.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind clowns at all and actually have a couple in my family!
DeleteThat song -- one of my favorites, and with good reason -- is so perfect for Kafkaesque! Great post, LM! I've always thought Ronald was surreal.
ReplyDeleteI took the shot after I saw Kafkaesque on the list. It was a surreal situation in which I was existing at that moment. Glad you liked the lyrics.
DeleteWhat a perfect choice of song! You know, my dream man, Johnny Depp, is afraid of clowns. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteJohnny is MINE, I tell you, MINE. I didn't know that he disliked clowns, he'll have to get over that do he can take me to the circus.
DeleteRonald and his evil empire are perfectly at home with today's theme.
ReplyDeleteThinking so much about it is starting to make me hungry.
DeleteOh I agree with Cheryl....just a perfect song for this challenge....I may be a little weird but I have always loved the Ronalds that you can sit next to and have a photo shoot with.
ReplyDeleteWeird?-not in my book!
DeleteThe song. The clown. The PERFECTION!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Wish I could write stuff like that.
