Home at last
Dear Abby, Dear Abby,
I’m at home at last
My trip up north fell well short of a blast
It’s nice to be back in the U S of A
And not up in the frozen lands, eh?
Signed, Homebody
Now go visit Nicky and Mike and see who else created something for you to read...
Where the hell did you travel to? If you were near me and din't call you got some splainin' to do.
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of those frozen lands... They sound like home. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe cold gets to me. I used to love snow as a kid, but now, I'm glad it doesn't come to the San Francisco area. I'll take my 65 and partly cloudy thank you!
ReplyDeleteWe don't all say, 'eh', you know. Ok, just a bit maybe.;)
ReplyDeleteAs Dorthy Gail would have said, "There's no place like home!"
ReplyDeleteNothing like the warmer climes of home.
ReplyDeleteHey Amy! Sad that it fell short, but a road trip is always good for the spirit. Indigo
ReplyDeleteNo more frozen tundra! USA! :D
ReplyDeleteFrozen lands? What frozen lands? It's practically summer here! :-)
ReplyDelete"And not up in the frozen lands, eh?"
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite line. I've really enjoyed your writing!
I love Canada, I truly do. They're friendly up there. As long you're not playing hockey, that is. Then they can be as mean as sheesh.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Did you bring back any Canadian pennies? It's funny how those things are nearly the same size as the American pennies. For some odd reason, most stores and banks around where I live use Canadian pennies interchangeably with the American ones.
ReplyDeleteFrozen lands, eh? Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteHome. Sweet. Home.
