If they're farm-fresh, they'll always be hard to peel. The older they are, the easier they are to peel.
Best trick I know is running lots of cold water over them, draining, with the cover on the kettle, shake the living crap out them, fill the pot back up with cold water, and let them sit. Sometimes, the shell just about falls off.
I was going to make a pun then I read the other comments and decided not to. I apologize for even thinking of one. Also, I thought there aren't 42 just like Nicky did but she beat me to that one too. Beat. Eggs. Crap! Sorry.
Gosh, I should have commented early in the day so I could make an egg joke. You guys are so hard shelled! As for me, I'm just a little deviled! Good photo!

ReplyDeleteNo wonder they check you guys at the border!
DeleteOooh, I like this one. Even though I really, really hate boiled eggs.
ReplyDeleteI only hate peeling boiled eggs.

Dear gawd this is making me hungry. Off to boil some water.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you going to do with 42 boiled eggs? Love the photo though!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a creative take on today's theme! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI believe that somewhere, somehow, both questions are related.
ReplyDeleteI have no eggs left. They took them away in the operation. :(

ReplyDeleteEveryone knows the chicken and the egg are actually symbiotic and identical subspecies of an extinct parent species called the Chegg.
ReplyDeleteNot eggs-actly what I was expecting, but nice job!
ReplyDelete;-)

ReplyDeleteAnd so the desperation sets in. Next comes madness, and finally, acceptance.
