30 Days of Writing - The Awkwardness of the Common Banana

You might remember last Monday I mentioned the item that I made for Her Royal Cuteness' birthday. Well here it is.

She had a pink Tweety Bird gumball machine that was destroyed in our fire. I wanted to find her a new one. It seemed to be a little scarce, but I found one on eBay and grabbed it up. When it arrived it was in horrible shape. Rather than disappoint her, I hid it away and eventually found a nice clean one that she could place in her room.

Inspiration struck one day as I was searching the web. Somebody had turned a gumball machine into a fish tank. So, I cleaned up, glued and painted the damaged machine. With some cut glass and aquarium glue, the tank was done and Viola!

Now for today's theme:

In our home, we enjoy the common banana as true art. It's image is hung on our walls in several locations and never fails to get a compliment.

Instead of boring you with a post, I'll just give you a look at two of my favorites and wish you adieu and Happy Father's Day!

"Ban and Anna"

"Going Bananas"
