30 Days of Writing - Setting Sail

There's a cruise that I want to take one day. It ranks high on my wish list. It sails from England to St. Petersburg, Russia with stops in Norway, Finland, Estonia and a few other places. I also drool over the cruises that sail across the Mediterranean.

Most people think of cruises as massive ships that stop at small islands in the Caribbean where you can buy duty free alcohol and gold. This is true, and a lot of people go on these trips to drink and tan and eat all that they can stuff into their faces at midnight buffets.

Me? I want to see new places and this trip would get me to several without the hassle of multiple flights and hotels.

I'll let you know when this wish gets closer to the reality side of things. Anyone want to go? We can stop by and have a drink with Ziva!

Where do you long to go?

  3. I took this cruise, only it left from Amsterdam. It was amazing. Along the way we even took an excursion into Berlin where Mrs. C. (an Army brat) grew up. It was great. Estonia is a gem of a destination and few people realize it yet. I hope you get there.

  8. I long to go back to Italy as an adult. I want to climb St. Peter's again and think about how my Dad held me when I was scared but wanted to lean over the railing. I want to take my children, eat real Italian food and get that amazing chocolate chip icecream again.... !

  9. Wow... that sounds like it would be awesome. I know how these trips can be daydream worthy. I get the National Geographic adventure catalogs every once in a while and they are all drool worthy!
