Step Right Up and Lend a Hand

I just had to post a picture of these fantastic cupcakes that Her Royal Cuteness made this weekend. She found a recipe for cupcakes with cookie crumbs baked inside and then added the cookie "dirt" to her homemade chocolate frosting. Topped with green zombie hands rising up from the earth, they were a great start to the Halloween season. Does Halloween really have a season, or have I fallen victim to current advertising ploys? Anyway, they would be good year-round if you ask me!

She delivered them to the local firehouse. The firefighters were out on a call, so when they returned, they had a gruesome treat waiting on their kitchen table!


All of you zombie lovers can eat your hearts (or brains or intestines) out!!

    The cupcakes are amazing, and I want one. But what's really amazing is that your daughter delivered them to a local firehouse. What kid does that in this day and age? I'm floored.

    We don't do halloween over here but I like the idea of your daughter starting a whole new "pay it forward" halloween season!

    We dont do halloween either but those cakes are awesome. I dont even think we would get little zombie hands here so I could try to make them

    Michael - She is one kid with a HUGE heart. She is always thinking of others before herself.

    Possum - Usually for Halloween she loves surprising our neighbors with treats during the night hours left for their children to find. As a family we tend to do things like that.

    Mynx - We made the hands together. They are a mixture of fondant and gum paste with green food coloring. She found them in a book called Zombie Cupcakes, naturally.
