Moon
The Moon card is generally characterized as having duality. It represents a power, but one that is hidden from you. It can be thought of as "illusion." The Moon can mean that the direction that you seek is unsure and the future is changeable. It is the lure of the unknown with all of its anxiety and possible mis-steps. This means that the Moon card is asking you to listen to your heart but also watch where you are going.
I'd like to think that when I gaze up at the orbital moon that I can shoot right past it for the stars. That's where I'm going.
Maybe these kids will moon you:

I like your take on the theme, today. That's something I wasn't aware of. Nice pic too.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was looking for an alternate and my cards were right next to me.
DeleteI really love this shot. It's composed beautifully and the soft colors are soothing. (I always knew the moon was guiding my path. Thanks for the confirmation.)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hope that the moon guides you away from any birds that want to peck your eyes out.
DeleteYour picture is delightful, and your philosophy inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephen! I wish I had more time for that kind of thought process.
DeleteLike Cheryl, I think the colors are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWell captured and well written. You win moon day.
Wow, I'd like to thank the academy...
DeleteReally, thanks!
I think this is both a wonderful post and a wonderful photo, I love your creative take on the theme. Great job! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ziva. I couldn't get a shot of the moon that I liked so this came to mind.
DeleteUnique take on this, I was not expecting cards!
ReplyDeleteCards for sorrow, cards for pain...sorry...
DeleteUm, thanks Mo!
I love Tarot cards, but don't believe in them. It's just the designs that grab me. I like the look of them, and would love to collect them.
ReplyDeleteAs for the stars, I like them, too. But I'm stopping at the moon. That's my destination, and always will be.
I love the designs too! That's why I have three decks (so far).
DeleteI know nothing about Tarot cars. However, I know that I like your photo of them. I especially like the smiling moon on the far right of the photo. I have always felt guided by the moon. Guess that is one reason that explains the name of my blog, Moonlight Hollow.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about Tarot cars or Tarot cards either! :)
DeleteI don't know much about either, but am trying to learn. The cards are a fascinating subject.
DeleteReally great post and I love Tarot cards! Well done, LM, well done, indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicky! I love them and keep seeing decks that I want to own.
Delete"I'd like to think that when I gaze up at the orbital moon that I can shoot right past it for the stars. That's where I'm going."
ReplyDeleteI freaking LOVE it!
Thanks, Meleah. All for want of a good shot like you got!
Delete"[The moon] is the lure of the unknown with all of its anxiety and possible mis-steps. This means that the Moon card is asking you to listen to your heart but also watch where you are going."
ReplyDeleteYou've got to be kidding me. Are you sure you weren't reading my Tarot cards when you wrote this??
I love your take on the theme but, really, couldn't you have given me the "heads up"?
;-)
I guess that I messed up there! Hope that you don't have more mis-steps!
DeleteHOW COOL. I have a set of cards somewhere... I'll have to look for those again. What a great representation of the moon!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Did you read them for others???
DeleteGreat take on today's photo theme! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Not quite as creative as yours!
DeleteAgree with Noname, a great take on the theme without being obvious. With the cell phone camera I have, I was limited also in what I could get.
ReplyDeleteThe moon is tough to get - I tried with my cell and camera and neither gave a good image.
DeleteI'm not done catching up on all the photos from when I was at the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop yet but I sure hope no one moons me! Great take on the theme.
