30 Days of Writing - Going Solo

He kissed her goodbye. It was a long, passionate kiss that had the other passengers either smiling or trying to avert their eyes. When they parted, he lifted his overnight bag over his shoulder and headed towards the screening area. She tried to call after him, but her voice couldn't escape through her tightening chest.

Instead of watching the security process, she slowly turned and walked away, wiping a few tears from her cheeks as she moved towards the concession areas. She thought that perhaps a cup of coffee for the road would help and took up the end of the line at the donut shop. When she got to place her order, she asked for something that she had never tried before.

Walking from the terminal, she sipped on her new flavor and thought that it was indeed time for a change.

  4. A very suggestive story. What is she up to? You say her chest "tightened" when he left, but why? Good one.
